Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry

Check out the links below that take you to some great websites. These sites give you a glimpse at what Cassie's life was like. Growing up during that era was very difficult for black and for poor people as well. Racism is sadly still alive today, however back then there were laws in many states that forced people to be unkind toward people of color.

IF I WAS THERE IN THAT LIFE STYLE I WOULD HATE IT AND I THINK THEY DIDNT LIKE THAT LIFE EATHER BECAUSE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE TREATED DIFFRERENT ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE POOR OR RICH...!!! THATS WHAT I THINK..

sharecropping is the system of farm once used it the past. I think the way they treated blackes is very wrong. At least give them a little respect because they us to do everthing in the 1930's. They us to pick cotton and do hard laber. It very sad that racism is still going on hopefully it will stop!!

Dear Mrs.Fitzgerld I think that the blacks why weren't to have the rights to do anything as the white people had. It was like that cause of their color of their skin. That also blacks were so poor that they couldn't get food or shelter with clothes.

Dear Mrs.Fitzgerald
Well I think that the blacks should have the same amount of respect as the whites.I also think that the blacks are geting mistreated just because the color of there skin. The blacks should have the right to fight for what they beleave in. It dosent matter what color you are what matters is what is in the inside. The white people should put themselfs in the blacks shoes to see how it feels to be treated like a slave.

hi fitgerald,
Wow those pictures were so beautiful and meaningful. Because the people in the pictures look so sad, like the pictures have alot of meaning by the peoples faces. The picture are so beautiful because of how it shows the true of how it was for different raices back then. I love how they are black and white coloring.
